Quality Inspector
Our client in Winamac is seeking a Seasonal Weighmaster to assist with Quality Inspection of products gathered from this year's harvest. Overtime is likely until the workload ends in mid to late November.

Quality Inspector Details:
Temporary position- $
17.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:30am to04:30pm )
- Performs all duties in a safe and compliant manner. Following all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Weighs in trucks using the Compu Weigh system. Enter the correct information on Compu Weigh tickets for each truck coming in.
- Collects and prepares grain samples for testing using the grain probe. Grades inbound and outbound grain. Inspects samples and determines defects or rejections as well as presence of foreign material. Communicates with customers and vendors the exchange of information regarding products, materials, and services.
- Weighs grain. Informs the dump of commodity B moisture level to make sure grain goes to the proper bin.
- Enforces weight limits on outbound trucks as required by law.
- Provides scale use to outside facilities.
- Provides appropriate testing for diseased grain in the testing room when necessary.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Quality Inspector Qualifications:
- Must be flexible to work both inside and outside. The work is inside most of the time. Some work may be done outside and even be dusty at times.
- Good Customer Service skills is a MUST.
- Steel Toed Shoes Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays, as needed. Possibly working 7:30am-7pm when there is overtime.
- Ability to read, react, demonstrate common sense, and endure long hours during harvest.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
